Acción procesual desarrollada en la Ciudad de México en la que durante cuatro noches recogí el polvo dejado en las orillas de mi cama, como un sinónimo de mi paso, de mi desaparecer, una simbiosis entre muerte y vida. Para después microfotografiarlo con un microscopio biológico generando una composición documental de la huella de dicho polvo alrededor de mi habitat: de mi espacio y de mi cuerpo. // Process-based action developed in Mexico City in which I collected the dust left along the edges of my bed for four days, as a synonym of my passing, of my disappearance, a symbiosis between death and life. Afterwards it was micro-photographed with a biological microscope, generating a documentary composition of the mark of that dust around my habitat: from my space and from my body.

Yo dormiré en el polvo, y si mañana // I will sleep in the dust, and if tomorrow

Lope de Vega

Su trabajo se desarrolla a partir de procesos biológicos tomando al cuerpo como entidad orgánica sujeta a construcciones sociales; sus temáticas involucran tópicos vinculados a lo social, íntimo y emocional. Hace uso del proceso como catalizador a partir de experimentos y experiencias en las que la ciencia y la biología juegan un papel importante. Pionera en el campo del bioarte en México, es artista-investigadora y docente de temas vinculados a diversos campos de la relación arte-ciencia-sociedad. Ha sido becada en dos ocasiones en las áreas de investigación por el Programa de Apoyo a la Producción e Investigación en Arte y Medios (2010/2014) del Centro Multimedia del Centro Nacional de las Artes en México. Actualmente, forma parte del Consejo Curatorial del Festival Internacional de Artes Electrónicas, TransitioMX y es Directora de Regiones en Expansión: Plataforma de Investigación y Educación en Arte, Ciencia y Cultura Digital. // Her work is developed from biological processes, taking the body as an organic entity subject to social constructions. Her themes involve topics connected to the social, intimate and emotional. She uses as a catalyst taken from experiments and experiences in which science and biology play an important role. Pioneer in the field of bioart in Mexico, she is an artist-investigator and instructor of the themes connected to different fields in the relationship of art-science-society. She has received two research scholarships from the Assistance Program of Production and Investigation in Art and Media (2010/2014) from the Multimedia Center of the National Center of the Arts in Mexico. Currently, she forms part of the Curatorial Advisory of the International Festival of Electronic Arts, TransitioMX and she is the Director of Regions in Expansion: Platform of Investigation and Education in Art, Science, and Digital Culture.
